What we process and why

• Bookings — data you enter when booking is processed on AvaiBook's official engine to manage your reservation, payment and invoicing, and for the guest registers required by Spanish lodging law.
• WhatsApp, phone & email — your contact details and message are used only to handle your request.
• Azahar chat (AI assistant) — the conversation is processed to answer you and is sent to Google (Gemini) as technology provider. It is not used for advertising or profiling. Please avoid writing sensitive data in the chat. If you leave a name and phone number for a call-back, they are used only for that.
• Security — IP addresses are logged temporarily to limit abuse.

Legal basis

Contract performance and pre-contract steps (bookings, enquiries), legitimate interest (security, service) and your consent (using the chat).

Retention

Only as long as needed for each purpose and the periods the law requires (e.g. invoicing and guest-register obligations).

Recipients

AvaiBook (booking engine), Google (fonts; maps if you load them; Gemini for the chat), Meta/WhatsApp (if you message us there) and Open-Meteo (weather is fetched without identifying you). We never sell your data or share it for advertising. Providers outside the EEA are covered by standard contractual clauses or equivalent GDPR safeguards.

Access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability — write to jose@gnmurcia.es. You may also complain to the Spanish DPA (aepd.es).

Azahar is an AI

Our assistant identifies itself as artificial intelligence (art. 50, EU AI Act). You can always ask for a human.
